An AI Workplace For Diversity Candidates

Diversity Inclusion have long set it roots in the corporate culture to make it more Equal Employment Opportunity culture. Through Equal Employment Opportunity companies set standards to employee people without any discrimination towards gender, race, colour and disability. Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit only. With times organizations have introduced best practices to make their diversity employees comfortable so that they excel in their workplace. However, with Covid-19 realigning the diversity workforce to the new culture of hybrid workplace. The new culture of hybrid workplace is beneficial for those companies which realized diversity & inclusion as a core pillar of organization but could not achieve it due to demographic constrains. Through hybrid culture companies can spread their workplace across geography and diversity. When AI is such an crucial part of the hybrid workplace model; the intelligence should also be developed considering the diverse workforce. To achieve a diverse workforce it is important to:

  1. Building diversity policies: Build a policy with caters the diversity workforce impact in the pandemic times. Whether it is about giving them more personal space or procuring tools which can be used for special diverse candidates such as candidates with visual, speaking or hearing impairment.

  2. Enacting their interest: During the pandemic maintaining work culture positivity was a major task to keep the employees motivated. With diversity workspace it is much more important to keep them motivated. Hence, they should be special activities like diversity day or diversity week where such employees participate and share their success stories with the normal workforce.

  3. Peer Learning: The hybrid work culture should be such where through virtual and AI initiatives the diverse workforce interact with their peers. This gives them a sense of belongingness. Create certain ambassadors to promote diversity culture within the organization and they assist the diverse workforce in the time of their need.

For organizations, key challenge among the operational challenges was the cultural challenge. Maintaining a positive culture needs much thoughtfulness and compassion. Engaging diverse workforce in the situation needs more concrete actions and flexibility in order to maintain brand-image.
