With the world over COVID-19 pandemic, the businesses had to completely change the way they were doing business. Data science and machine learning played a very important role in transforming employees into remote workers overnight. But somehow the balance between work and life got disturbed where in order to maintain business continuity and job security the overall wellbeing of employees came at stake.

But what immediate relief or support the companies could give to employees because as businesses leaders and HR managers the entire scenario was new and unwitnessed before. The very first question which the HR team need to address is “what kind of wellbeing are we talking?” that is the parameters that will define employee wellbeing as per the current state.

Here the link shall be drawn from Global Happiness and Well-being Policy, 2019 by the Global Happiness Council which define well-being in a positive correlation with employee productivity, organizational profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee retention.

Therefore technology came as a solution where resilience and performance are expected to improve through breakthrough innovations.

But we need to identify yet another fact is that stand alone technology cannot be seen as a solution where diverse technology products are incorporated within the system rather one digital platform offering continuity from one process to another should be introduced. It is essential to bring in tech measures that defines the major role of employees into simplified multiple tasks, brings productive continuity from one task to task in a defined timeline so that high level of business progress is achieved. Not only this the single solution should address employee enquiries and provide action orientations that lead to overall wellbeing.

Not only this, simple work behavior practices also being promoted some of which are:-

  • Create & Follow Boundaries

  1. Take a break in between your schedule

  2. Only message after office timings

  3. Keep a flexibility between your work and life

  • Continue Personal Communication

  1. Ask about each other’s life

  2. Connect virtually beyond office work

  3. Keep the communication alive

  • Create a Focus

  1. Keep dedicated time for each activity

  2. Try avoiding distractions

  3. Declutter yourself regularly with your favourite hobby

There’s a growing demand for tech leaders to join their work with HR and business leaders so as to ensure that the company remains distinctly humanistic by designing and executing effective strategy that aligns well-being into culture, workflows and processes, and technology decisions.
